Stubbs Island
Setting the standard for responsible wildlife viewing since 1980. We were the first whale watching company in British Columbia founded in 1980. We operate out of Telegraph Cove BC.
Cruise in comfort in our 60 foot (17 meter) vessels Lukwa and Gikumi. Both boats have heated cabins and toilets as well as hydrophones connected to speakers fore and aft for all round sound
From June to October we cruise the calm protected waters of Johnstone Strait on the northeast coast of Vancouver Island. The area is acknowledged as the most accessible and predictable location to see orcas (killer whales) in the world.
Telegraph Cove is the closest place to this area. Although our excellent success rate in viewing killer whales is over 90% we can never guarantee sightings.
Trips are educational and fun for all ages. Hearty homemade meals and snacks are available on-board the vessel. Please remember to dress warmly (layering is recommended) and bring your camera and binoculars.
