We have more than 30 years boating experience in Mossel Bay. WHALE WATCHING from a 52 foot motor/sailor it could be the best whale watch experience you will ever have. Open decks; safe and comfortable hand rail; plenty cabin space and large wheel house. We legally approach the whales up to 50 metres. Cameras must then be ready as the SOUTHERN RIGHT WHALES may almost hug the boat as THEY APPROACH EVEN CLOSER to have a look at you. Depending on proximity of whales; trips are between one and a half to three hours. Peak whale watch Aug/Sept/Oct. Sightings 99%. See also Seals; Sharks; dolphins and plenty marine birds. Hourly SEAL ISLAND TRIPS every day all year round to visit 3-4000 CAPE FURR SEALS on a small island in the bay. All trips depart from MOSSEL BAY harbour. |
