Kingfisher Bay Resort Whale Watch Cruises

At Australia’s leading ecotourism destination Kingfisher Bay Resort experience two natural wonders in one holiday - the magic of Fraser Island and the excitement of watching whales at play in calm waters of Hervey Bay.

Experience close encounters with humpback whales as they stop to rest and play in Hervey Bay on their migration south to the Antarctic. Hervey Bay is one of the best whale watch areas in the world

On a Kingfisher Bay whale watch cruise interpretive rangers share an insight into the whales' habits. Marine ranger Peter Lynch said: “We are so lucky in Hervey Bay to be able to see the humpbacks at such close range.

The whales often come right up to the boat and spy on the people sometimes kidnapping the boat for and hour at a time. You have to wonder just who is watching who.""

Kingfisher 1 whale watch catamaran gives guests comfortable and good views of the whales with all round viewing from the upper deck and a viewing deck on the lower bow.

Comments:
Kingfisher Bay and all its tours have advanced accreditation from the National Ecotourism Accreditation Program.
The whale watch tour was the first to be accredited in Australia. The resort holds the 2000 Australian Tourism Award for Environmental Tourism.
