Hermanus and Gansbaai are renouned for the best landbased Southern Right Whale whale watching in the world. Rudy has the only BBWW permit for area 6 of Walker Bay.

Trips take 2 hours and leave from the fishing harbour of Gansbaai by arrangement weather permitting. Up market personalised service limited to 8 passengers.

Rudy has 40 years sea-going experience in the area skippering his own boat and is a SATOUR qualified specialist whale guide.

Having worked for 4 years with the formost whale scientists of the RSA and as a guide/skipper for the past 3 years.

Comments:
Should sea conditions be unpleasant tours for land based whale watching can be arranged where whales may be seen from 50m or closer. Other tours on request.
Cape Fur Seal breeding colony of Dyer Island mainly out of season. Light house tours to Cape Agulhas most Southern point of Africa. Dont bother to bring binoculars. If you need them to see the whales from my boat then I have not done my job.

From Our Guestbook:

What great memories. I've been operating Safaris for 12 years and haven't had many experiences as wonderful as being nose-to-nose with those wonderful animals.

Thankyou for the wonderful experience. We will never forget it."".
