Cat Balou Cruises are the longest established whale watching operators in NSW. Excellent sightings of humpback whales are made during October & November as the whales pass Eden on their southern migration bound for the antarctic. It is one of the few places in the world that whales can be observed feeding on their migratory route. Other species of whales including blue minke bryde's southern right & orca. dolphins seals penguins turtles 'Cat Balou' is equipped with a hydrophone and dolphin/whale cam for underwater viewing. A live whale narration is given. Eden was a major whaling port in early days and an insight into this is given on the cruise. If whales aren't seen on any half day whale watch cruise a return free cruise is offered or half fare refunded. Cat Balou cruises operate their popular twofold bay cruises all year with excellent sightings of dolphins & seals. |
